STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF APPLICATION
I have continuously sought to develop my own ideas for my lessons with the aim of maximising students' opportunities to practice and acquire their English language skills in all four areas. My efforts in this direction have included several self-developed resources. Click here to see.
My teaching style is based on mutual respect and excellent teacher-student rapport. I frequently reflect on my lessons and consider each one's success not so much in terms of 'what I have taught' but more in terms of 'what the students have learned and mastered'.
I am familiar with a wide range of published TEFL materials. Click here to see.
I regard myself as an effective and professional instructor and personally feel that my many years of experience in TEFL more than compensates for my lack of a tertiary qualification. I consider myself a reliable, responsible, mature, sympathetic, and cooperative member of staff with a pleasant sense of humour.
I am accustomed to working long hours, split-shifts and to covering absent or sick colleagues at short notice with little fuss and no preparation time.
My references from previous employers will testify to the high value placed upon my services to each one's institution. Click here to see.
